Management Analyst 3 - Library Data and Compliance Analyst
Salary: $70,282.08 to $104,713.20/Annually

The Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records (NSLAPR), a division within the Department of Administration, is seeking a Management Analyst 3 to serve as the Library Data and Compliance Analyst in Carson City. This position is responsible for providing compliance oversight, data analysis, fiscal insight, and policy guidance to support statewide library operations. Key responsibilities include administering library standards, managing staff certification processes, and tracking trustee training participation. The incumbent will maintain and analyze statewide library datasets, including the annual Public Library Survey, and produce reports and visual summaries for internal leadership and external stakeholders. Additionally, the analyst contributes to the Nevada State Data Center (SDC) by assisting state and local agencies in accessing and interpreting Census and demographic data. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and submitting contract and procurement documentation in coordination with authorized fiscal staff, monitoring program and grant expenditures, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring adherence to statutory and policy requirements. The position also develops internal risk assessments, collaborates across Library programs to align compliance, training, and program initiatives, and provides direct supervision of assigned staff, including performance feedback and evaluations.

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis (versus bookkeeping); departmental operations such as forms, policies and workflow; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis. Deputy State Librarian
Salary: $73,674 - $98,218/annually

As a member of the ICfL’s management team, the deputy state librarian contributes to the development and evaluation of the agency’s strategic plan, policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to team assignments and personnel. Other responsibilities include: the planning and evaluation of statewide development programs; the monitoring of funding; and the identification of issues, priorities, opportunities, and threats for the agency and the Idaho library community. The deputy state librarian will also hire, coach, and evaluate consultant and program staff.

Required qualifications include a Master’s of Library Science degree or a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of professional library experience.

The ICfL assists the more than 850 public, school, academic, and special libraries in Idaho to best serve their communities.

The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) seeks an experienced library professional to join our agency as the Head of Library Advisory and Development/Government Liaison. This position serves as the Recognized Resource for the administration of the Library of Michigan’s virtual library - eLibrary (MeL). The State of Michigan virtual library, MeL, is approximately a four million-dollar anywhere, anytime library for Michigan residents that provides a variety of resources to all Michigan residents and libraries. MeL includes dozens of licensed electronic databases; a statewide resource sharing platform that allows patrons from more than 400 libraries to borrow materials from other libraries; training for users; as well as tools and marketing to support the educational and library community’s use of the program. The various resources are provided to users via the MeL.org website as well as directly from vendors. The statewide program involves multiple vendors, contracts, and stakeholders across the state. The position is responsible for the development of the program’s vision and strategies while overseeing the implementation of work by all parties to meet program goals.
